Arsenal vs. Wolves – Matchday 1 Preview

After another season where they came close to winning the premier league, Arsenal hopes to get the new season started in the most perfect way possible as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.Premier League Preview: Wolves vs Arsenal

In what looks like a tough start to the season for the Gunners with Aston Villa, Manchester City, Brighton, and Spurs in their opening five fixtures, the importance of a solid result against Wolves cannot be overemphasized.

The arrival of Ricardo Calafiori from Bologna means Arsenal has strengthened a defense that was arguably the best in the world last season, Wolves, on the other hand, have lost two key players in Max Kilman and Pedro Neto who left the club this summer to join Westham and Chelsea respectively.

Both teams have a decent run during the pre-season but having lost their last six games to the Gunners, Odds will be on Arsenal to be the strong favourites going into the fixture.

Wolves on the other hand will be without Matheus Cunha, Daniel Podence, Enso Gonzalez, and Leon Chiwome.

Arsenal Predicted XI (4-3-3): David Raya, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz.

Wolves Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Lima, Mosquera, T Gomes; Semedo, Lemina, J Gomes, Ait-Nouri; R Gomes, Larsen; Hwang.

All things considered, this should be an easy win for Mikel Arteta’s side, a prediction of a 3-0 victory should be achievable for the Gunners.
